ETA Electronic Authority Visa - subclass 601

Available if you hold a passport from a country listed below:

You have to lodge the visa online through a Travel Agent in your home country or only some countries can lodge it online HERE
Required documents for the ETA visa are:
The ETA can only be applied from outside Australia.
The ETA allows you to stay in Australia up to 3 months counting from the day of arrival. The and is vaild for 12 months from the date of the visa grant.
The purpose of your visit can be tourism, family visitation or business and you are not permitted to work with this visa.
Your can extent the ETA while still in Australia for tourism, family visitation or business purposes by applying for a Visitor visa (subclass 600)
The ETA can be converted into Student visa (subclass 500), working visas or permanent residency (unless stated differently in the visa conditions).

E-Visitor Visa - subclass 651

The visa doesn't require travel insurance, but we recommend one as the Australian healthcare system is very expensive (some countries can get free healthcare in Australia - please check your eligibility in advance).
Required documents for the ETA visa are: It can be only applied while you outside of Australia. The purpose of your visit can be tourism, family visitation or business and doesn't come with work permit.
